Kathua Dec 7: Daljit Singh Chib ,(MoS), Vice Chairman J&K Kisan Advisory Board for Development of Kisans he's meeting of officers of Agriculture and allied Sectors today in PHE Guest House Mandli where threadbare discussions were held regarding preparedness for the successful conduct of One day awareness camp-Cum -kisan Mela scheduled to be held on 13th of December, 2016 in which Deputy Chief Minister will be the Chief Guest and G.N. Lone , Hanjura , Minister for Agriculture J&K State will be the Guest of honor . Chib informed that more and more awareness should be provided to the farmers about intensive cropping , soil erosion , deforestation and pollution has reduced the soil health which is the main cause of lesser food productivity. He said that officers of Agriculture and allied sectors should fully make use of the funds which are being provided to them through Centrally Sponsored Schemes and schemes of the State . He stressed that the benefit of the schemes should reach to the every farmer so that their economic conditions will get improved. He also visited the Sangher where one day Kisan Mela is to be held.
K.S. Sambyal, Chief Agriculture Officer, Kathua said that we have made a hustle free transport arrangement for the farmers for attending the Mela.
The officers who attended the meeting are SDM, Rajesh Basotra, Agriculture officer, inputs,Davinder Singh Reen,Dr. Amrish Vaid , Ajit Kumar Sharma, Chief Horticulture officer, Kathua and others District officers besides Kisan Board Members.
