| With MLC's blessing, history-sheeter evades PSA | | |

Jammu, Dec 7: A Member of Legislative Council (MLC) has come to the rescue of a history-sheeter and managed to stop slapping of Public Safety Act (PSA) against him.
According to sources, the MLC has directed a Superintendent of Police not to forward the dossier of PSA recommendations against the accused who is involved in various criminal activities.
"The MLC called the police officer and instructed him not to forward the dossier of PSA recommendation to the district administration, as the accused is supporter of the MLC and helps him in political ventures," said the sources.
If sources are to be believed, the history-sheeter has been working for the MLC to carry his political and illegal activities.
"The MLC has been patronizing the history-sheeter as he has helped the legislator to carry his political and illegal activities," said sources, adding that the MLC do not want to lose his henchman.
Meanwhile, sources said the SP did not want to offend the MLC as he wants to keep the political bosses happy for his plum posting to some other district.
"The SP is also not showing much interest in submitting dossier of recommendation regarding slapping of PSA on the history-sheeter, as he do not want to spoil relation with the MLC," said sources. |
