Jammu, Dec 7: To develop close and friendly ties with a senior police officer before he assumes charge of a big posting in near future, flatterers, including officers of higher rank and lower ranks, have been making a beeline around a senior police officer's private residence.
All these officers started visiting the senior officer's residence after he came to Jammu along with the Darbar move offices. "All of them want to be in his good books so that they benefit from his position as and when he takes charge of the big post," police sources said.
Not only police officers of Jammu region, officers of Kashmir were also visiting the senior officer's residence, sources said and added that they 'make a beeline outside the officer's residence either in the morning or evening'. "Two to three SSPs of outside districts took leave on Saturday and called on the senior officer at his residence on Sunday. IGPs, DIGs and DSPs are also visiting him," sources informed.
"Some Inspectors, who are widely known in police circles as confidants of the officer, are visiting his residence at least twice or thrice a week. They too hope to get benefitted from him," sources said.
