AMEAK demands release of salaries | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Dec 7: Expressing its resentment over the non-release of salaries by the DDOs to PM package and non package employees working in valley, All Migrant Employees Association Kashmir has made an appeal to state government for instant release of all pending salaries of employees without any delay. The employee body in its meeting here today said that the concerned DDOs are creating hurdles in release of their salaries despite the fact that there are clear directions of the chief minister and the concerned relief and rehabilitation minister for not with held the salaries of employees. They said that it is a very unfortunate that the officials at lower level are ignoring the directions of the government constantly for last three weeks regarding release of their salaries. The employees have made an appeal to the government headed by chief minister Mehbooba Mufti and deputy CM Dr Nirmal Singh to take a serious note of the issue and take necessary steps immediately to ensure the injustice is not meted out to the employees. They also said that government is well aware of their problems and the circumstances which led them to left valley but some officials at the helm of affairs do not realising their position till date. They alleged that some officials with arrogant approach are misleading the government by passing wrong information about release of salaries to employees who in reality are without salaries for past few months. The members in the meeting further stated that delaying tactics in release of pay by various departments have added untold miseries to employees particularly in feeding their families and ensuring proper education of children. The employees reiterated that they are pinning hopes in preset dispensation in the state and hope that it will play a pro active role in mitigating demands and issues of package employees. The meeting was attended by president AMEAK Rubon Saproo, Rakesh Pandita from Baramulla, Rakesh Pandita and Satish Raina from Kupwara, Kamal Pandita and Ajay Bhat from Pulwama-Shopian, Ranjan Jotshi and Vinod Ticku from Mattan and Sunil Pandita from Vessu . Meanwhile, employees have met divisional commissioner Jammu today and brought various issues into his notice. The div. Com. gave a patient hearing to employees and said that they should not worry since the govt. will fulfil its commitment made by it earlier with the employees on the directions of chief minister. |
