Two bovine smuggling bids foiled, one held, 11 animals rescued | | | Early Times Report
Rajouri, Dec 7: As a part of drive against menace of Bovine smuggling, Rajouri Police today foiled two bovine smuggling bids with the arrest of one person and rescue of eleven bovine animals during a naka checking at Darhali Bridge. Police spokesperson said, "Following specific input, a police party led by SHO P/S Rajouri Inspr Chaman Gorkha under the supervision of DySP (Hqrs) Hamid Choudhary laid a naka at Darhali Bridge during intervening night of Dec 6/7." "During naka checking Police intercepted a TATA Mobile bearing registration No.JK02AL-1149 but the accused abandoned the vehicle and fled away from the spot taking the advantage of darkness. Police During search of vehicle rescued six bovine animals which were being smuggled illegally from Rajouri to Srinagar via Thanamandi-Mughal Road In this connection, case FIR No.751/2016 U/S 188 RPC, 3 PCA stands registered at P/S Rajouri and further investigations are on. Yet in similar incident SHO P/S Thanamandi Inspr Surinder Singh Khadyal under the supervision of SDPO Thanamandi Iftqhar Talib, laid a naka at Chrung Bridge Thanamandi. "During naka checking Police Seized a TATA Mobile bearing Regd No.JK11A-6983 rescued 05 bovine animals. Police arrested one person namely Iftkhar Hussain S/O Mohd Khalil R/o Thanamang, Darhal In this connection, case FIR No.217/2016 U/S 188 RPC, 3 PCA has been registered at P/S Thanamandi and further investigation are on in this matter. |
