JDC expresses grief over death | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Dec 19: Jammu Development Council expressed the deep grief and sorrow over the sad and unnatural death of those people who died while standing in queue for getting their own money deposited by them due to mismanagement of the banks or administration. In a press statement, Inderjeet Khajuria, President Jammu Development Council urged the Government of India to suitably compensate the victims families by paying Rs 5 lakh to each, besides one government job to kith and kin of each deceased family and all those people who died while withdrawing money from bank after the union government declared the notes denomination of Rs 500 and Rs 1000 as no legal tender. He said that these deaths are caused due to Union government order and is liable to compensate their deaths. He stressed upon the Union Government to immediately compensate the families of those who died in the premises of different banks for transactions in banks due to demonetization as they were honestly obeying the Union Governments orders. He said that when the accidents occurred the Railway department or transport authority compensate the victims then why not the Union Government is not compensating the families of those who died in the different banks. He said government should provide the government job to one member of each family of deceased person. |
