Kulgam, Dec 19: The Deputy Commissioner Kulgam has failed to re-issue an employment notice which his predecessor had cancelled eight months ago after finding several 'loopholes' in it. In February, in pursuance to Govt. order No.13 SWD of 2015, the Social Welfare Department Kulgam, advertised some contractual pots like village coordinator, district coordinator, tehsil coordinator and data entry operators under the project Poorna Shakti Kendra. A number of aspirants applied for the posts. They however received a shock on March 3 when then Deputy Commissioner Kulgam nullified the notification. "We applied for the post, a shortlist was framed and published in newspapers. We were called for the interview but on the same day the Deputy Commissioner directed District Social welfare Officer Kulgam to re-advertise the notification," Jahangeer Ahmad, an aspirant, told Early Times. An officer, who was then posted in Kulgam, confirmed to Early Times that notification was cancelled after various scandalous errors were found in it. "Basically Social welfare Department was supposed to take a particular area as pilot project and advertise the posts for that. But then district Social Welfare officer advertised posts for whole district which is wrong," he said. He said, "In addition to it, the officer had allotted more post to some areas which was again against the guidelines." A group of aspirants alleged that since then the Deputy Commissioner Kulgam is playing 'hide and seek 'with them. "We approached Deputy Commissioner many a times. The only answer we get is that wait for two days, but then nothing happens. It is injustice," they pleaded. When contacted, Deputy Commissioner Kulgam Showket Aijaz said he will give priority to the issue. "As you know we remained busy with law and order problems. This issue will be sorted out and I will give priority to it," he said. |
