USTA stages protest, highlights demands | | | Early Times Report
Iammu Dec 19: Taking serious note of alleged insensitive attitude of the State Government towards their demand, United School Teachers Association (USTA) today staged protest outside Press Club Jammu to highlight their various demands. Addressing the protestors, Hari Singh Provincial President USTA and other speakers condemned the State Government over the lackadaisical and non serious attitude towards the just and genuine long pending demands of teaching community. They said it is deplorable that the salaries of teachers are not being released in time and delayed inordinately for months Highlighting the long pending demands of teaching fraternity, the speakers demanded release pending salaries for last 5-10 months, pending installment arrear of 6th Pay Commission and DA arrear of teachers/masters working under SSA, release pay arrears of regularized ReT teachers converted from EV w.e.f June-201 3 to Feb-2014, release salary of newly appointed Teachers working against shifted posts w.e.f Jan-2016 to till date in District Kathua, revoking Screening test order of regularized ReT teachers, adjust Masters whose DPC was made in Feb-2014, modify irrational, arbitrary transfer orders of Masters, implement transfer policy for Regularized ReT teachers, release senior teacher grade in favour of trained under graduate teachers, hike of salaries unregularized ReT's from Rs 3000/- to Rs.15000/- per month and etc. Speakers also demanded implementation of 7th Pay Commission in J&K USTA appeals the Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti to intervene into the matter and to direct concerned authorities to concede the demands to avoid any further confrontation. Others who address the protestors includes Rajeev Kumar, Kanta Jamwal, Dr. Shashi Paul Singh, Roop Lal, Angat Singh,, Pardeep Singh, Siraju-Din ,Raj Kumar, Ashok Kumar, Balwant Singh, Kishori Lal and Madan Singh. |
