DPs discuss issues pertaining to disbursement of Rs 2000 crore package 12/19/2016 10:32:00 PM Early Times Report Jammu, Dec 19: Jammu Kashmir Sharnarthi Action Committee (JKSAC) held a meeting at Gobindpura, Simbal Camp, where all the DPs of adjoining Basties participated and discussed various important and pressing issues pertaining to the disbursement of instant package of Rs. 2000 crore for DP's of 1947 from POK and other categories. The DP's in the meeting raised their doubts and criticized the govt. for not clarifying the quantum of relief to be paid by govt. and also difficulties they are facing while obtaining the certified copies of requisite documents from the PRO Office Jammu. Addressing the meeting Gurdev Singh president assured the participants that JKSAC is committed and struggling hard for the resolution of one time settlement and other demands raised by participants concerning the package. He said that there is an imperative need to strive hard upon the coalition govt. to decide and announce the quantum of relief to be paid to DP's for their left over properties in POK along with other components, when the JPC constituted by Govt. itself has very clearly submitted its recommendation to govt. He cautioned the DP's that until and unless they will not strive hard and show their strength, they shall not be able to achieve the target of Rs. 30 lacs and other components recommended by JPC and added that every DP will have to play its role. Accusing the state govt. of ignoring their long pending legitimate issue he warned that the DP's will launch an agitation if their issues are not addressed properly within next three months. He appealed to DP's that the final notification has not yet issued by the govt. and they should not fill up any kind of form at the behest of vested interested elements who are hell bent upon to exploit their innocence for their personal motives instead they should obtain the copies of requisite documents from PRO office and after notification the same should be submitted to PRO along with application form for further process. He cautioned the DP's not to fall in the trap.
