NHM employees hold dharna in support of Demands

Jammu, Dec 19: All JK NHM Employees Association today held a massive demonstration in support of their demands at Exhibition Ground, Near Press Club, Jammu as employees are demanding to accept their demands which are justified. The Mission has been started by the Government of India, Ministry of Health throughout country and in Jammu & Kashmir implemented this mission in the year 2007 and about 20 thousand employees and 25 thousands ASHA workers in the State but salary is very less and have not made permanent to the employees so for as employees are providing Health Care Service in the Rural and Urban Areas in the Health Department to masses. Addressing the employees Rohit Seth President of Association and demanded from the Govt to make permanent demands as all the employees be brought on permanent establishment those who have completed 5 years tenure and the rest of the staff be given equal salary at par with permanent employees in reference to the Suprème Court's verdict i,e. equal pay for equal work till their regularization. The minimum 10% increment be given to all the NHM staff yearly & transfer policy be framed for NHM employees, all the NHM employees be provided facilities like provident fund, maternity leave, Baby care leave,Medical leave, earned leave, Medical Insurance, Life Insurance, etc. Steps must be taken to ensure job security for NHM employees and the practice of taking affidavits annually from the NHM employees, which is illegal and unjustified must be stopped at the earliest all the management staff viz Block Managers.
Block Monitoring Officers, Account Managers, Division Account Manager, State Account Manager and other management staff is being paid meager salary which is very less in present circumstances and therefore keeping in view their present needs the higher grades / salaries be given to them so that they can be able to perform their duties with more efficiency and-effectively in the interest of the administration as well as the general public. Subash Verma President, Ashok Choudhary Gen. Secretary of BMS, Susheel Soodan President of IK MEF, Varinder Gupta Gen. Secretary of NHM, Hamid Parray Sr Vice President of NHM, Mohit Seth Vice President of NHM, Faizan Tramboo spokespersons of NHM, Shaeen Nawaz, Kashmir Division President NHM and others also addressed to the employees and called upon the government to accept the demands of employees
