PDP to observe late Mufti Sayeed's death anniversary on Jan 7

Jammu, Dec 23: Terming Mufti Mohammad Sayeed as legend of 21st century, Senior PDP leader and Minister for Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Chowdhary Zulfkar Ali today said that party to remember the late leader will observe first death anniversary of former Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed in Jammu on coming January 7.
Addressing party workers meeting at Party Headquarter Jammu, Chowdhary Zulfkar Ali has said that Party will observe first death anniversary of Late Mufti Mohammad Sayeed at Gandhi Nagar Ground, Jammu besides in every districts and tehsils of Jammu & Kashmir to pay tribute to great leader of the state.
"In this regard, Sardar Rangil Singh Vice President of the Party has been assigned the job as Chairman of Organizing Committee of the programme while all Districts Presidents have been instructed to participate with delegates, he said.
Speaking on the occasion, Minister for Food, termed Late Mufti Mohamad Sayeed as legendry leader of 21st century and said that Mufti had envisioned greater Jammu and Kashmir but his dream remained unrealized before death knocked his doors. Asserting late leader wanted peaceful solution of Jammu and Kashmir problem and self rule in this state, he said, "He (Mufti Sahib) wanted to make people of J&K self reliant by restoring their dignity'',
He said that a leader is born, a politician is also born but a statesman is born once in a centuries and Mufti was statesman and legendry leader of this century. He said his (Mufti Sayeed) demise on January 7, 2016 has created a void which is difficult to be filled. He however added that that his mission for peace in state will be carried forward and PDP will strive till peaceful resolution of Kashmir issue. Recalling Mufti was always underlining dialogue is the only solution of any problem and party still holds belief that only dialogue process can resolve Kashmir Issue. He also stressed upon India and Pakistan government to shun atmosphere of hostility and sit on table to resolve all issues including Kashmir.
On the occasion Vice President Rangil Singh, Spokesman Ved Mahajan, Sardar Trilok Singh Bajwa, Daman Bhasin, Shanti Devi, Anil Gour, Jatinder Bhat, Vijay Dogra, Satpal Charak, Bhushan Lal Dogra, Suresh Sharma, Romesh Koul, FC Bhagat, Aijaz Ahmed Mirza, Munshi Alam Din along with District Presidents and Zonal Presidents of Jammu Province were present.
