Early Times Report
jammu, Dec 23: The high court has ordered a stay on the temporary distribution of CAPD ration from a private shop in the holy Katra town. The order bearing No 513/AD/FCS/CA/R was issued by the CAPD assistant director on November 19 on the alleged direction of CAPD MoS for temporary distribution of government ration from a private shop at Katra without fulfilling the norms and conditions as per policy for opening of new FPS under Targeted Public Distribution System vide government order No 127-FCS&CA of August 4, 2016. Justice Janak Raj Kotwal, after hearing the petitioner's counsel, observed that a case for showing indulgence had been found. The court observed that as the order was issued on the minister's direction without considering the policy framed by the government, the order would be kept in abeyance. The court issued four weeks notice to respondents - CAPD secretary, Reasi CAPD AD and Katra TSO -- to show cause for the issuance of order.
