Pak agents gang up again, prepare ground for another 'ragda' in Kashmir | Citizenship Rights to WPRs | | Early Times Report Jammu, Dec 23: Some so-called Kashmiri leaders (Pakistani agents) have developed a habit of opposing everything for the sake of it. After ruining Kashmir for more than 5 months they are again trying to foment trouble by opposing the grant of citizenship rights to West Pakistan Refugees (WPRs). On Friday, MLA with separatist leanings Er Rashid, who is infamous for poking his nose in all the sensitive matters, staged yet another drama by sitting outside the Chief Minister's residence in Srinagar against issuing domicile certificate to WPRs. On the other hand separatists had called for Kashmir bandh today. The strike call didn't evoke much response but Hurriyat dove Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and so-called JKLF Chief Yasin Malik staged protest in old city and in Lal Chowk respectively. A Kashmir watcher while talking to Early Times said, "Separatists and people like Er Rashid want Kashmir to burn. One can understand that separatists are dancing to the tunes of their bosses sitting across the Line of Control as they are on their payroll but what is making Er Rashid dance is a million dollar question? He (Rashid) enjoys the perks and the facilities provided to a legislator. He has no objection in receiving his salary in Indian currency but when it comes to opposing the India and it policies he is the first one to hit the streets." He said, "WPRs have been living in Jammu for the past six decades but till date nothing has been done to rehabilitate them. One fails to understand how handful of people can change the demography of Jammu and Kashmir?" An analyst said, "Elements inimical to peace in Kashmir are preparing ground for yet another agitation in the Valley so that they can set the ball rolling as soon as winter season is over in Kashmir." He said, "People of Kashmir should understand that a few people don't want peace to prevail as it would lead to closure of their shops in the Valley. Granting citizenship rights to WPRs is the duty of the government. It would help these people to live a normal life. The people who are opposing their settlement are nothing more than the agents of Pakistan and terrorists. They are the same people who forced Kashmiri Pandits leave Kashmir by unleashing terror." A politician said, "The 2016 Kashmir unrest should serve as an eye opener for the government and it should have taken stern action against the trouble mongers like Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, Yasin Malik, Er Rashid and others. People at the helm need to understand that till these people are not arrested and booked situation in Kashmir would remain grim. Initially these people opposed separate colonies for Kashmiri Pandits and ex-servicemen and instigated people to hit the streets. Killing of Burhan Wani acted as trigger and led to Kashmir getting burnt. These people issued calendars and turned youth into cannon fodder to ensure that they get hefty amounts from their Pakistani bosses." He said, "With or without citizenship rights WPRs have become an integral part of Jammu and Kashmir and they getting their rights is no big deal. These people (separatists) should mend their ways. If they don't they should be deported to Pakistan." |
