Early Times Report Jammu, Dec 23: Taking strong exception of move and call given by Hurriyat and others separatists in Kashmir protesting against the issuance of the domicile certificates to the West Pakistan refugees settled in J&K since 1947, State VHP President Leela Karan Sharma today said the separatists objecting the move of grant of rights to West Pak Refugees feeling it as stumbling block to their move of Islamanising Jammu region. Addressing a press conference, State VHP Chief Mr Sharma said that move behind this protest is that Hurriyat & separatist wanted to Islamanise Jammu province also which is a stumbling block in their object. "The J&K is an integral part of India and every citizen has the right to settle anywhere in the country as a number of residents of J&K are settled throughout India without any protest why a reciprocity be not done in the case of J&K state, he said, adding, "the protest is being made only because the West Pak refugees are Hindus and their permanent settlement will be contrary to their aim of Islamanisation of J&K region. He also said, "Pertinent to mention here that thousand of Burmies & Bangladeshis have settled in Jammu and many organisations in the name of NGO's are helping them to settle in Jammu with the long term motive to change the demography of Jammu region but none has cared about it. The Hurriyat & most of the separatist are confined only to four districts of the valley are objecting this as they feel this move will hamper their future plans. Sharma also warned state government to identify all Bangladeshi and Burmies settled in J&K on or before march 31st and deport them besides making a permanent solution for the settlement of the West Pak refugees in J&K giving full rights like other citizens of J&K state, failing which people of Jammu will be forced to decide how to deal with outsiders and the responsibility will be on the State administration. Shakti Dutt Sharma State secretary, Rajesh Gupta State Vice President, Sudershan Khajuria, PRO VHP, Rakesh Sharma State Co-convener Bajrang Dal, Kartik Sudan were also present in the press conference. |
