SRINAGAR, Mar 20: The former government led by Omar Abdullah has spent around 7 crore rupees on re-engagement of the retired employees whose services were recently terminated by the government.
The General Administration Department (GAD) in its detailed list of the people who have been re-employed by the Omar Abdullah government, a copy of which is in possession of Early Times, has mentioned that 100 retired persons were given lucrative postings in various government departments of state which their telephone bills, Travel Allowance (TA) along with monthly salary swelling in crores- putting a direct ruthless burden on state exchequer.
