Jammu, Mar 26: A senior police officer has complained to PHQ against a DySP, who is at present posted as SDPO in Jammu district, for allegedly being hand in glove with drug mafia and sheltering anti-social elements.
People of an area, that falls under his jurisdiction, have protested twice against the DySP. During the first protest, the senior officer visited the spot and pacified the people. But when people protested again, the senior officer informed PHQ about his alleged unlawful acts, police sources said.

Jammu, Mar 26: Acting on a complaint filed by a Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) constable wherein he alleged that he was unlawfully arrested and subjected to custodial torture on March 22, the Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) Kathua has ordered an inquiry against the Probationer Deputy Superintendent of Police (DySP) posted as Station House Officer (SHO), Kathua.
The CJM has forwarded the complaint to Additional SP Kathua Khalil Ahmed Poswal who has been entrusted to inquire into the matter and directed to report it within two days while being asked to put up the same on March 28.
