Soon after assuming office Mufti declared war against corruption and to begin with he asked his ministers to ensure that they engage officials with a clean image as their personal staff to avoid embarrassment in future. Mufti has followed the old adage, charity begins at home. Mufti's recent directive to Police that it should become a source of "reassurance to public than cause of fear" is a clear indication of the fact that highhandedness" won't be tolerated.
