Railways too suffers with corrupt transfer ploys 6/2/2015 11:21:37 PM Ajay Sharma Early Times Report Jammu, June 2: While the transparency factor in transfer policy of the state is a far-fetched dream, its ugliness is not untouchable to railways department of the state even where the evil is deep rooted too. In an astonishing disclosure, it was found that two Railways employees who have been ordered transfers in March 2015 are still holding their respective positions and have not joined the place of their postings . As per the information, one Vinay pal posted as ERC Kathua was relived off his duties and transferred to Katra to join his new place of posting, but indifferent to the government order , Vinaypal did not relieved his place of posting and still is stationed at Kathua. Similarly another Om Prakash Sharma who was relieved off his duties from Katra to Join Jammu division in March has too not relived his place and still sticking to Katra and carrying on with his old posting . The matter when brought to the notice of DTM Jammu, a quite ridiculous answer was received. "It is not in my knowledge as to why these reservation clerks have not relived their earlier place of posting and joined the duties in their new areas. I will check out and see where the lacunae are," said DTM Jammu R N Meena while talking to Early Times. It is pertinent to mention her that all transfers in the northern railways are affected from DRM Ferozepur, the nodal centre of the northern railways while the Jammu and Kashmir division is watched out by the DTM. "How when any transfer is affected from DRM Ferozepur is reached Jammu DTM for verification and execution, the officer in charge shows is ignorance over the issue," said a railway employee wishing not to be named.
