How many get jobs in 100 days of coalition Govt? | | | Peerzada Ummer
Early Times Report
Srinagar, June 2: The coalition government here is about to complete 100 days in office but most of the promises it made to the people of the state remain un-fulfilled-one such promise is the fast track recruitment. The government while cracking a cruel joke with the unemployed youth here asked them to submit their applicants for filling of the vacant posts. Disheartened and perturbed youth of the state lined up in queues outside the SSRB offices to submit their applications. The government earned 20 crores from the jobless youth in less than a month. There were 11830 posts and the fee submitted for the same was more than Rs 19, 6627626. The same parties used to corner the former government for failure to provide jobs to the unemployed youth. But, since the new government assumed office, the recruitment agencies are virtually in the sleeping mode. There has been no recruitment process done in this new era of 'change'. Six lac educated youth continue to wander jobless, frustrated and disappointed. The government received 102574 applications from 2010 to 2014 but nothing moved. In 2010, a total of 197542 OMR forms were received while as 162385 forms were submitted in 2011, Similarly 43275 OMR forms were received in 2012, and in 2013 there were 613278 forms submitted. In 2014, the candidates submitted 8794 applications. "Instead of making the government fulfil its promises, the discussion revolved around the new recruitment policy. Even senior ministers take pleasure in commenting over it, contradicting it and confusing people more," said Umer Asif, a Srinagar resident. |
