Inderesh takes on Ram Madhav over PDP-BJP alliance | Ripples in RSS | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, June 2: All is not well with the RSS, the so-called nationalist and cultural organization. It is actually an organization consisting of rank politicians and power hungry people. The only difference is that they do not share the responsibility if the BJP goes somewhere wrong and courts controversy for actions not considered beneficial for the people and country. There are groups in the RSS who are taking on each other publicly. One group comprising Ram Madhav and ilk is supporting the PDP-BJP alliance, saying it is in the best interest of the state and its people as well as the country. This group is also saying that the coalition is in the best interest of the people of Jammu province, as it has been "equal share" in the government. What non-sense! The coalition government has damaged the Jammu's interests more than any earlier dispensation in J&K. That's the reason the people of Jammu province are on a warpath. Significantly, this group enjoys the support of the pro-Kashmir Prime Minister, the BJP national president and the Union Finance Minister. The other group, which is represented by the former J&K pranatiya Prachark Inderesh Kumar, is denouncing the alliance. Today, Kumar in an interview to India Today news channel lambasted Ram Madhav and ilk, who have been defending the alliance to the hilt in TV interviews and workshops/seminars/symposiums. Very significantly, Inderesh Kumar also expressed doubt if the people of Jammu province would forgive the BJP. "The people of Jammu may forgive the BJP for its (khamian) shortcomings because it sacrificed itself by forging an alliance with the PDP," he said. Inderesh virtually acknowledged that the BJP has not come up to the expectations of the people of Jammu province who voted for it overwhelmingly. He was right only to an extent because the BJP committed grave blunders to become part of the establishment in J&K. People of Jammu province will not forgive them; they will decimate it. In any case, Inderesh tried to be candid as far as possible while commenting on the PDP-BJP alliance. However, it will be seen if Inderesh Kumar stuck to what he said. For, it is difficult to trust any of the RSS leaders because no one knows when they will change their stand. Also because they say one thing in public and do exactly the opposite in indoor meetings, where political issues and issues relating political power are discussed. They have two faces. It became clear first after Vajpayee formed coalition government with "secular" parties and then after secular Narendra Modi formed government at the centre in May 2014. |
