Abhinav not a purchasable commodity | Struggle for AIIMS, Lake, identity | | Early Times Report
Jammu, June 2: Frustrated and roundly condemned BJP is trying its level best to puncture the ongoing mass movement aimed at forcing the anti-Jammu authorities, particularly insensitive and arrogant BJP, to establish AIIMS in Jammu and complete artificial lake project over Tawi without any delay. That the movement is pan-Jammu province could be seen from the two highly massive bandhs the people observed on April 24 and May 27 against the patently anti-Jammu BJP and its Kashmiri masters and Narendra Modi's minority and Kashmir appeaser government. Both the bandhs have alarmed and unnerved the BJP, which not only subverted the historic Jammu mandate for some crumbs, but also endangered the national security and the country's territorial integrity by signing a pro-Pakistan, pro-separatist and anti-Jammu and anti-Ladakh agenda of alliance. The agenda of alliance is denounced as an "agenda of betrayal" by one and all in Jammu province. Convinced that the ongoing movement in Jammu could assume alarming proportions like it happened in Jammu in 1998 and 2008, BJP leaders like Ram Madhav, considered in Jammu as the 'real culprit', and "cunning and power hungry" Ashok Koul, the RSS plant in the BJP, have been, according to reliable sources within the party, "have been working overtime to purchase some influential members of the AIIMS Coordination Committee to ensure the collapse of the mass movement". Sources also inform that "all their efforts in the direction have failed, as none of the members of any consequence and standing has fallen into their anti-Jammu trap". Sources say that ''they have shown thumb to anti-Jammu and pro-Kashmir elements in the BJP". The most striking aspect of the whole situation is that chairman of the coordination committee and president JKHCBA, Jammu, Abhinav Sharma, has shown the power-brokers in the BJP their rightful place by telling the intermediaries that he would meet BJP leaders, including Home Minister Rajnath Singh, provide the coordination committee members are given a proper invitation and that he would never meet them alone. In fact, he has established by his words and deeds that he is not a purchasable commodity, that he will never compromise, he will not play any game under the carpet and that he with the support and cooperation of the coordination committee members and the general population of humiliated Jammu province will not only take the movement to its logical conclusion but would also not allow anyone to tinker with the distinct identity and personality of Jammu province which is an abode of peace, brotherhood and secure place for the victims of militancy and terrorism. The people of Jammu province are fortunate that the JKHCBA, business leaders, transporters, student organizations, social and religious organizations, in fact, all those who are committed to the national cause and the Jammu cause, have joined hands to fight the anti-national and anti-democratic forces both in Jammu and Kashmir Valley. Ram Madhav & Co must remember that Abhinav Sharma and all other members of the coordination committee are not a purchasable commodity. |
