Jammu, June 2: In a sustained drive launched to nab the absconders and anti social elements, Poonch Police today arrested absconder who was evading his arrest for the last seven years.
"The accused has been identified namely as namely as Abdul Hamid s/o Mohd Ashraf of Shahpur who was evading his arrest for being his involvement in a case registered u/s 436, 392, 332 RPC at PS Poonch, police sources said.
Police sources said, "On specific input about the movement of the accused, the police party headed by Insp Jatinder Raina SHO PS Poonch supervised by Mujeeb-ur-Rehman-DySP Hqrs under overall supervision of S Jatinder Singh Johar-SSP Poonch raided the hideout and arrested the accused."
Police sources said, "The accused Abdul Hamid is wanted for his involvement in case registered against FIR No: 154/2008 u/s 436, 392, 332 RPC at P/S Poonch and since then he was evading his arrest for over 07 years. |
