Jammu, Aug 10: Defeating three candidates in fray for the post, Bahadur Lal Dalgotra was today elected president of Saryara Sabha.
According to press release, elections were held at Bahu Fort, where 2195 votes polled for the post of President and General Secretary. Bahadur Lal Dalgotra got 1174 votes, Suresh Kumar Dalgotra 584 votes, Pawan Kumar Chalotra 199, Kirti Chand Fangotra got 80 votes, while 158 votes rejected.
For the post of General Secretary Manohar Lal got 1016 and Surinder Kumar got 947 votes 232 votes rejected and Manohar Lal won the election. Dalgotra thanked people of community who cost their vote in his favour. |
