Kupwara, Aug 10: A school teacher in Handwara town of frontier Kupwara District was booked after he allegedly thrashed a class 2 Student of 'Kashmir International School' resulting in injury marks on his back. According to details one minor Sabat Ahmad Shah '7' son of Jan Muhammad Shah of Braripora Handwara was on Saturday mercilessly thrashed by one teacher namely Tawseef Ahmad War of Chogal Handwara in one Private School of the area allegedly for making noise in the classroom. The 7-year-old Sabat, student of Kashmir International School, Handwara, has marks all over his back after being beaten up mercilessly by Teacher with a hard wooden stick in front of all other students of his class allegedly for at least fifteen minutes without a pause. The details received from relatives of Sabat said that teacher has got annoyed with Sabat because he was talking loudly with another student of his class in absence of Teacher and on seeing Sabat talking loudly teacher had just entered in the class selectively picked up Sabat from his place and started beating him up mercilessly in front of all other students. Relatives of Sabat said that he (Sabat) feels terrified now of the teacher and the school as well and added that they have decided to take strong action against the teacher and school authorities as well for maintaining silence on the issue. Station House office Handwara, Muzaffar Ahmad, While Confirming incident told early times that one FIR under Number 205/2015 was lodged against one Teacher Tawseef Ahmad, a school teacher of Kashmir International School after a written complaint was received from parents of the Sabat Ahmad. He said that police have started investigations in to the case and action against accused teacher will be taken only once initial investigations related to the case are completed. Pertinently many reports of teachers beating minor Kids in private Schools across Kashmir surfaced over the years and on taking action against such teachers, parents on many occasions said that teachers and school authorities use influence to evade any action of government against them. Repeated attempts to contact School Authorities of Kashmir International School Handwara went in vain as no contact could be made due to bad cellular network. |
