jAMMU, Aug 10: Police claimed to have arrest one member of the gang of the which used to loot passengers by offering them 'spiked food items during a raid at General Bus Stand here today. Police have identified the accused namely as Krishan Lal (47) alias Biku s/o Nek Ram r/o Govind Nagar Gole Gujral. According to police he is accused of offering 'spiked biscuits' to passengers and then steal their valuables. 'The catch was made by a police team led by SHO Bus Stand Paramjeet Singh, police said adding, "police had been receiving complaints that passengers were looted of their belongings in the buses and during investigations in this matter police came to know that the modus operandi is first get acquaintance with passenger and then offer spiked food stuff to make prey unconscious and decamp with his/her valuables.". Police said that police team has recovered spiked biscuits during the frisking and search of his belongings.
A case under section 328 RPC against FIR No37/2015 has been registered against the accused in Police Station Bus Stand,Jammu. |
