Kathua, Aug 10: Rural Development Department said that sanitation facility to SC, ST, OBC, Handicapped and Women led family is on priority of the department and in this connection RDD is going to launch ' My Village- My World" sanitary scheme at District Kathua.District Panchayat officer, RDD Anil Thakur today announced while chairing meeting with rural bodies of block Kathua, Hiranagar, Dinga Amb and Marheen tehsils. While interacting to rural bodies, Thakur highlighted the guidelines under newly launched scheme by Jammu and Kashmir Rural Development Minister Abdul Haq Khan on Aug 4 at Jammu where it was decided that government would start construction work of sanitation under 'My Village- My world' scheme falling under Swachch Bharat Abhiyan.
DPO said there are 19 blocks in district Kathua but scheme would be launch in Dinga Amb, Marheen, Hiranagar, Kathua block. He said government will construct sanitation facility in each village of such block where government will cover SC, ST, Handicapped, women headed family without income source. |
