| Middle School Kundarorian sans drinking water | | Students walk 200 mts to fetch water | | Shiv Dev Thakur Early Times Report KATRA, Aug 13: Middle School Kundarorian in Katra sans drinking water and the students have to walk 200 meters to fetch water from the Shrine Board Office. A few years ago, the school had no classrooms. Now that the rooms have been provided, the problem has shifted to drinking water. The students are seen carrying buckets to fetch water from the Shrine Board office at a distance of about more than 200 metres. AEE PHE Katra when contacted said that the school was getting regular supply of water but a crack in reservior is causing shortage. CEO Reasi Kamal Verma said there is acute shortage of water in 487 Schools all over the district as reported by the concerned officials. "We have also given the Complaints as well as list of the Schools affected, to the XEn Reasi to take action," he said. Moreover, he assured that he will personally inspect the School in case of any leakage or any sort of lethargy besides gave directions to repair the infrastructure if any needed. |
