JAMMU, Aug 13: Peoples' Democratic Party (PDP) has nominated 11 district presidents for organizational purposes in Jammu. According to press release, Peerzada Mansoor Hussain, former legislator and political advisor to the party president, Mehbooba Mufti said the nominations were approved by party president in consultation with the senior leaders of the party and as per the party constitution yesterday in Jammu after a daylong party review meeting. He said the party president will seek regular inputs from all the district presidents of the state about the status of strengthening the party base in their respective areas of jurisdiction. The nominations of district presidents, he said, are aimed at enhancing the organizational structure of the party and strengthening the cadre operations of the party at grassroots level. He said there would be positive changes and systemic delegation of organizational responsibilities to further strengthen the party in future. Those nominated for various districts of Jammu include Shamim Dar for Poonch, Aijaz Mirza for Rajouri, Shahbul Haq for Doda, MLC Firdous Tak for Kishtwar, Bashir Ahmad Runyal for Ramban, Shafiq-ur-Rehman for Reasi, Hans Raj for Udhampur, Surinder Singh for Kathua, Dr Harmesh Slathia for Samba, Faqir Chand Bhagat for Jammu Rural and Vinod Sharma for Jammu Urban. |
