Early Times Report

Jammu, Aug 13: After spending over one week in Jammu and Kashmir across different locations captured Pakistani militant Mohd Naveed was airlifted to New Delhi in a special plane by National Investigation Agency (NIA) after the said ultra was sent to 14 days of remand by a special NIA Court in Jammu on August 11. According to official sources, "Mohd Naved was escorted in a tight security cover from the Joint Interrogation Centre (JIC) located in Miran Sahib and shifted to Technical Airport before being airlifted in a special plane around 11.35 am."
"Senior NIA officials camping in Jammu also boarded the special flight, sources said further adding, "in New Delhi, the Pak terrorist Naveed is expected to undergo another round of interrogation by the NIA officials before his remand period is over."
Here it needs to mention that Director General NIA Sharad Kumar during his special visit to the state on Wednesday has hinted that case needs to be probed through scientific methodology including narco tests. This becomes the urgency for the investigating agency as the Naved was giving conflicting statements since he was captured by the two VDC members after he was on a run from the encounter spot in which his fellow ultra was neutralized by security forces.
Earlier Naved was also interrogated by the Director General NIA Sharad Kumar during his special visit to the state on Wednesday. He along with other senior officials of the NIA and the state police officers also visited the encounter site -Narsoo Nullah where Pak terrorists including Naved have attacked the BSF convoy on August 5, killing two of them and injuring 13 others. NIA Chief, Kumar interacted with the officers on the location to prepare a map how the terror strike was mounted by the Pak based terrorists despite presence of security forces all along the highway in the wake of ongoing Amarnath yatra.
