| Div Com, RD-RBI jointly inaugurate blood donation camp | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Aug 13: Ahead of Independence Day, Reserve Bank of India (RBI) Regional Office Jammu organized a blood donation camp in collaboration with Indian Red Cross Society Jammu Region and Blood Transfusion Department, Government Medical Jammu at RBI Complex here today.
Divisional Commissioner Jammu, Dr Pawan Kotwal and D Sethy, Regional Director (RD), RBI, J&K State jointly inaugurated the camp by donating a unit of blood each.
Earlier speaking on the occasion, Divisional Commissioner said that Blood donation is a great service to mankind and everyone should donate blood voluntarily as many time as possible to save precious human lives. He also appealed the people, especially youth to come forward and join this humanitarian movement as they are the role model for society to work for this noble cause.
In his address, D Sethy, the Regional Director, RBI said that it is a very noble cause and every healthy person must contribute then only voluntary donators (we) can fill the big gap between the demand and supply. |
