Terror begets terror in Pakistan
8/17/2015 10:02:00 PM
The State and the Central Governments, besides the security agencies, continue to be faced with multiple problems in the Kashmir valley during the last over one year In fact all these problems are security related issues and some of them have political connotations. If both the LoC and the IB in Jammu and Kashmir present a picture of conflict and tension because of repeated ceasefire violations being committed by the Pakistani Army and the Rangers, the situation within the State, especially in the valley, reflects growing urge of separatists and militants to register their presence in one way or the other. What else could India do ? It summoned the Pakistan High Commissioner in New Delhi to lodge a strong protest against repeated ceasefire violations by the Pakistani troops. The provocation is said to have been the latest incident of ceasefire violations in Poonch area and other sectors in which more than six people have been killed and over 20 injured. In addition to this the valley's peace stands on peril because of the machinations of the separatists, their followers, and the militants. During the last about six months Kashmir has reflected a new urge among a section of separatists and their supporters who have shown no restraint in waving Pakistani flags whether occasion demanded it or not.Of late supporters of separatists have started waving IS flags thereby conveying to the Government and the security agencies that ISIS unit was being set up in the Kashmir valley.
And the latest device used for propagating her pro-Pakistan sentiments has been displayed by none other than Asiya Andrabi, chief of radical women's outfit Dukhtaran-e-Millat. Asiya Andrabi addressed a rally organised by suspected mastermind of the Mumbai terror attack Hafiz Saeed's outfit Jamat-ud Dawa in Pakistan. Andrabi had delivered an address to a rally organised in Lahore to mark Pakistan's Independence Day on August 14 by telephone.Saeed was seen sitting on the stage during Andrabi's address.Hours before her address, the DeM chief had celebrated Pakistan's Independence Day at her residence, while several DeM activists gathered in Bachpora area of the city to mark the day. This very incident has provoked the BJP leadership to demand her immediate arrest. While describing Asiya Andrabi's act as "treason" the President of the State unit of the BJP,Jugal Kishore, has demanded DeM Chief's immediate arrest under treason.
" What seems to be ironical is the way Pakistan has been exporting terror to India but on the other Pakistan, its people and political leaders have started falling prey to terror. The latest incident related to the elimination of the Home Minister of Punjab in Pakistan. Khanzada, Home Minister of Pakistan's Punjab province, and 12 others were killed on Sunday when a suicide bomber blew himself up at the leader's ancestral house in Shadi Khal village in Attock district. At least 17 people were injured in the blast. The suicide bomber entered the building disguised as a visitor and blew himself up. As a result of the blast, roof of the house caved in burying the minister and some thirty other people.
The banned outfit Lashkar-e-Jhangvi (LeJ) has claimed responsibility for the attack, Dawn News quoted sources in the interior ministry as saying.Khanzada, a retired colonel, was holding a jirga (reconciliatory meeting with his area people) at his house, some 100 km from capital city of Islamabad, when the bomber breached security to enter the house.
Rescuers were trying to pull out people trapped under the debris . It is believed that Khanzada had received threats after LeJ chief Malik Ishaq was killed in July. Khanzada became Home Minister in October 2014 and has been actively involved in major operations against terror outfits in the province. He had recently confirmed that Al-Qaeda Pakistan's chief and his accomplices were killed in an operation on the outskirts of Lahore. In the light of this development it has become mandatory for Pakistan to stop using its soil for exporting terror to India.Instead it should promote cordial ties with India and seek New Delhi's help in containing terrorists operating within Pakistan.
