Jammu, Aug 17 : 69th Independence Day Celebrated with gaiety and enthusiasm throughout across POWERGRID establishments across Northern Region-II.
POWERGRID Northern Region Transmission System -II celebrated 69th Independence Day with patriotism & enthusiasm.
Flag hoisting and cultural programmes were organized at all its establishments. across the region. At its Regional Headquarters, Grid Bhawan, Jammu. S.K.Sharma, Executive Director, NRTS -II, was the Chief Guest. He unfurled the national flag.in presence of Sh. S.D.Joshi General Manager (Projects), Prof. Meena Sharma President Shrishti Mahila Samiti ,Senior officials , employees, their families and children .
In the main function held at its Regional Headquarters, S.K.Sharma, Executive Director in his brief address congratulated the employees and their families on this pious day. He gave a jist of the milestones achieved by POWERGRID in general and NRTS -II in particular. He urged upon the employees to continue to serve the organization with dedication and sincerity. Various cultural programmes were presented by members of Shristi Mahila samiti and Children in which national fervor and patriotism was reflected. Winners of various competitions organized as a the part of Independence day celebrations were awarded by Sh. S.K.Sharma and other dignitaries on this occasion.
