JAMMU, Aug 17 : Jodhamal Public School emerged champion of the event while Banyan International clinched second place and third place went to K.C. International School in the four day long tournament was organized by Five Star Club under the agies of Jammu and Kashmir Roller Skating Assoc. and over all supervision of G.S. Khurmi, Kamal Anand (speed skating coach of R.S.F.I and State Sport's Council) was the organizing secretary. To promote sport's activities and young talent the government is committed to develop sport's infrastructures all over the state. This was stressed by Minister for P.H.E Irrigation and Flood Control Sukh-nandan Kumar on the concluding function of District Roller Skating Championship. The minister said that sport's is the best way to channelize the young minds as sportspersons will never divert towards other bad things such as drugs which is spoiling the young generation. He said aim of the government. is to provide conducive environment for player's so that they bring name and fame to J&K at international level. He assured that he will take up the matter with the concerned authorities to complete the pending works of skating ring at M.A. Stadium. Meanwhile the skater's who emerged as speed champion's of their group's are Vansh Rajput, Jaipreet, Saanch Anand, Yuvraj Panini, Shreyasm, Krishav, Arnav, Aradhaya, Priyanshi, Anirudh Charul, Garima, Jaslev, Samamanya, Pranya, Sarish Sewadhani, Jaslm Kour, Pallav, Rakshit. In the condluding function Trilok Singh Bist (Principal Jodhamal Public School) and Anil Pathania Principal J.K. Public School Kathua were the guests of honour while the valedictory function was convened by Mrs. Navedita and Chahal Masoom. Galaxy of international and national skater's who has brought laurels to the state were honoured in the function. |
