Ex-TA man-turned-militant sympathiser held 8/17/2015 11:13:27 PM Early Times Report Rajouri, Aug 17: Troops of 49 RR manning the border belt in Balakot sector have apprehended an ex-serviceman, who was discharge from service in 2011 from Territorial Army, for his alleged involvement in militancy related activities. He was alleged to be an Over Ground Worker (OGW) of militants. The accused namely Liykat Hussain s/o late Mohd Qasim Guujar r/o Lanjote (Balakot) is alleged to be a hard core OGW from Balakot sector. Before his ouster from army for his alleged involvement in militancy related incidents, he was a staff member of Counter Insurgency (CI) wing of TA Bn. On Sunday he was moving in suspicious circumstances in the area and was apprehended by the soldiers of RR unit and was later handed over to Mendhar police where he is being questioned . Liyakat was also booked in 2011 in case FIR N52/2011 under sections 120B, 7/25 Indian Arms Act (IAA) for his involvement in anti-national activities.   Share This News with Your Friends on Social Network     Comment on this Story
