JKBWA celebrates I-Day 8/17/2015 11:31:50 PM Early Times Report Jammu, Aug 17: The Jammu and Kashmir Batwal Welfare Association celebrated the 69th Independence with great fervour at Bagh-e-Bahu. Amidst a huge gathering, the Association Chairman Subedar Major (retd) Romesh Sargotra unfurled the National Flag and took the salute. The Chairman inculcated the nationalism in the enthusiastic community members by throwing light on the supreme sacrifices made by the freedom fighters for the motherland. Association urged the Government of India to recommend to the President of India the conferrment of 'Bharat Ratna' (the highest civilian award of the country) on Shaheed Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev, Rajguru and S. Udham Singh, the unsung heroesof India.
