Y4PK to hold 2nd Int'l Youth Conference to mark 'Homeland Day' | | | Jammu, Aug 17: Youth for Panun Kashmir (Y4PK) will organize 2nd International Youth Conference in Delhi on December 27-28th to commemorate Kashmiri Pandit Homeland Day. According spokesperson Y4PK, this announcement was made by its North India Coordinator Vithal Chowdhary during a Camp for new activists who have enrolled as Y4PK members recently. "Around 75 new activists attended this camp known as boot camp, which was conducted under the chief patronage of Panun Kashmir convener, Dr Agnishekhar. While initiating the new members into the Y4PK fold, Dr Agnishekhar said it was quite encouraging and satisfying to note young boys and girls becoming conscious of their responsibilities towards the displaced community and dedicating themselves to the cause of a separate homeland in Kashmir with a UT status.
"You are the future of the community and the future leaders of the struggle," he told the new members. He also commended the existing Delhi NCR Y4PK team for thinking beyond the community and succeeding in making many non Kashmiri Pandit youth as part of 'our struggle'. Surprisingly non KP youth from Punjab, UP, Orrisa and Karnataka also enrolled as Y4PK members and pledged their support to the Panun Kashmir. At the onset senior Panun Kashmir activist Kamal Hak briefed the new faces about the circumstances that led to the evolution of Panun Kashmir philosophy. The meeting was also attended by Rajinder Kaul National Cordinator NCR and Sanjay Moza National Coordinator of Panun Kashmir. |
