GBSWA stages protest 8/17/2015 11:32:14 PM Early Times Report Jammu, Aug 17: Gujjar and Bakerwal Students Welfare Association (GBSWA) today staged protest demonstration in front of Jammu university gate. According to press release, association state president Zulfqar Kassana along with active activist Mohd Taj Sangu, Abdul Qadir Kolhi, Mohd Maharood said that Urdu is an official language of Jammu and Kashmir since 1888. "It is also mentioned in the constitution of Jammu and Kashmir under section 45 but there are some delinquent persons who want to remove Urdu from the examination of Naib Tehsildar", Kassana said. They further said that the revenue department record in Urdu, without it how is it possible to run the work. Though, it had mentioned in the advertisement of Naib Tehsildar post that candidate should have the knowledge of Urdu despite in these things why non-Urdu want to abolish Urdu from NT Examination. They warned government that if any step took to remove Urdu from NT examination or change it from objective to subjective then we will launch hunger protest, block road, close Urdu department and also close all education institution throughout the state in which Urdu is being imparted.
