Police realizes Rs 65000/- fine from traffic violators

Udhampur Dec 10: Continuing the safety drive the traffic police today conducted surprise checking of vehicles at Domail Chowk and certain Chowk of Udhampur and realized a fine upto the tune of Rs 65000/- from violators.
According to spokesperson, SSP Traffic Sanjay Kotwal alongwith DySP T R Rana supervised the traffic nakas and fined Rs 65000/- from atleast 507 vehicles which were challaned for violating the traffic rules. Speaking to media persons SSP (Traffic) Sanjay Kotwal said the safety drive is for the benefit of the general public because in today drive the safety is the main concern. He also exhorted the parents to advise their wards top drive safe and for safety of others also as human life is precious.
Meantime he also said that more such drives against traffic law violators will be organized to put a check on the rampant traffic law violations and making roads safe for all especially pedestrian.
