Family of youth beaten by police meets SSP Kathua

Kathua, Dec 10: The family members of Pardeep Sharma, who was brutally thrashed and beaten up by police personnel, today met SSP Kathua Neeva Jain and apprised her of the situation and demanded action against the accused.
During meeting with SSP Kathua, the family members alleged that Lakhanpur police station has adopted lacklustre attitude in the case by not arresting the accused police personnel. The family demanded the SSP to arrest the main accused Ajeet Kumar Pintu who is in police service at the earliest. SSP listened them patiently and assured them to give a justice to them and said police is doing fare investigation and we also nab the third accused as early as possible.
Unsatisfied with the with SHO, Lakhanpur Kathua, Ritesh Sambyal, Pardeep's brother Raj Kumar alleged that officer deliberately not arresting the main culprit who is roaming free due to his links with high profile politician.
Meanwhile police has arrested the two persons including Ajay alias Raju and Arun Sharma alias Ranju ex President Municipal Council Lakhanpur Kathua, surrender himself to the Lakhanpur police on 6 December morning whereas Lakhanpur police registered the fir under RPC section 307 and 4/25 , where on 7 December lakhanpur police presented the two accused to the court Kathua whereas court sent them on 5 days police remand.
Pertinently, Pardeep Sharma alias Kaka was found unconscious at the Basholi Morh of Lakhanpur Kathua, on December 3 under mysterious circumstances whereas he was shifted to primary health centre Lakhanpur and then district hospital after seeing his bad condition doctors referred him to Government Medical College Jammu. The 34-year-old Pardeep Sharma is owner of transport company situated at Lakhanpur Kathua.
