| BJP betrays national mandate for Pakistan: PK, Hari Om | | |  Early Times Report
Jammu, Dec 10: "We have a considered view that BJP has embarked upon a path of betrayal of the national mandate for which it was voted to power in New Delhi by the concerned Indian electorate across the nation. The Islamabad declaration is a shame more ignominious than the shame of Sharm-el-Sheikh", said Prof Hari Om, Dr Agnishekher and Dr Ajay Chrungoo in a signed joint statement, which was issued today here at Jammu.
"The joint statement clearly states that it had become manifestly clear in September 2014 itself that the Modi Government at the Centre had planned to leave the 'secular' Congress well behind in pursuit of a compromise with Pakistan. The PDP-BJP Agenda of Alliance that was released on March 1, 2015, was a testimony of this fact," they said, and added that after betraying the nationalistic mandate from Jammu and Ladhakh by forging an alliance with the pro- Separatist and pro-Pakistan PDP, the Modi Government has replicated the same step at the national level to betray the national mandate in most shameful manner.
Terming the Islamabad declaration as a complete sell out of the national mandate , Hari Om, Dr Agnishekher and Dr Ajay Chrungoo said ," the Modi Government has almost vindicated the position of Pakistan on all the issues it had been raising ever since the communal partition of India," and further said that after reading the joint declaration of Islamabad it will be stupid to even think that the Modi Government will pursue even the issue of bringing to justice the perpetrators of 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks. For the Modi Government, it seems to be a closed issue now , they said.
The leaders said," it is strange and extremely disturbing that at a time when the international community is thinking in terms of launching a full throttle attack against the Jehadi forces wherever they are to eliminate the scourge of Islamist terrorism and establish an order of global peace , the BJP government at the centre has decided otherwise to bail out the epicentre of Global Jihad, Pakistan. Not only that, it has chosen to accord it a legitimacy of a fellow victim of terrorism," they said. They further emphasized that the whole approach of the Modi government will lead to catastrophic results as far as the national security and the country's territorial integrity are concerned. Indian state under BJP has started behaving worse than any soft state behaves and is virtually dismantling its own national interests. " We have chosen to give vent not only to our understanding but the concerns of the nationalist people of the state as well as the nation as a whole," they claimed and opined that this government has put at stake everything that the Indian nation all through stood for, fought for and made supreme sacrifices for. The leaders said that the legislative mandate for Jammu appears to be a captured mandate locked to merely endorse the chain of betrayals unfolding since the PDP-BJP took the reins of the state. " In this scenario people will have to rise on their own feet to thwart the subversive policies of BJP," Hari Om, Aginshekher and Ajay Chrungoo said and warned that a peoples' resistance more intense than the Amarnath Agitation will be launched in case the government of India chooses to fiddle with the national interests . |
