Jammu, Dec 10 : It is a proud privilege for all Jammuites that DAV National Sports 2015 U-19 Girls is being organized at MHAC School, Nagbani Jammu from December, 10 - 12, 2015. 13 Zones from the country participated in this Mega Event and displayed their sporting Excellence.
The opening ceremony of this gala event took place on Dec 10, 2015 with pompous celebration. General Secretary, DAVCMC New Delhi, RS Sharma graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.
The other dignitaries of repute who accompanied the chief guest were J.P. Shoor, DAV National Sports Convener, Office Bearers and Members of DAVCMC, New Delhi, Directors, Regional Directors, Principals, Members LMC, Parents, Team Managers, Coaches. More than 1500 players representing DAV School from 13 different DAV Zones also attended the most coveted function.
Guests of Honour Bali Bhagat, Cabinet Minister (J&K) and Danesh Rana, I.G. Police graced the occasion with their benign presence.
The DAV sports Flag was hoisted by the Chief Guest of the Day and the meet was declared open by releasing of multicolored Balloons and pigeons which ascended upwards carrying the message of True Sportsmanship far and wide.
Speaking on the occasion, R.S. Sharma, General Secretary, DAVCMC, New Delhi, congratulated the Girl participants for making it possible to take the sports to the National Level.
All the matches were played on a knock out basis & were supervised by the professional refrees from the Sports Federation of India. Inaugural day culminated with a musical evening. |
