| R&B Minister's cavalcade attacked with stone at Mendhar | | | Early Times Report
Poonch, Dec 10: The cavalcade of Minister for R&B Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari was attacked with stone pelting by infuriated people during his visit at Mendhar in Poonch district in which two persons were injured.
Sources told Early Times that R&B Minister was on the tour of district Poonch. During his visit, he laid foundation stone of a road and inaugurated Chhajjla Bridge. Interesting, the Chhajjla Bridge was inaugurated third time. Earlier NC leader Javed Mustafa had inaugurated it and second time PDP ex MLA Sardar Rafiq Hussain Khan inaugurated the bridge and now Altaf Bukhari inaugurated it. The act by the minister was questioned by local people that how already inaugurated bridge can be re-inaugurated. The people got infuriated when Minister refused to visit the far off areas of the district where the road conditions were worst, and started raising slogans against the minister and some of them restored to stone pelting on the cavalcade.
However, the minister succeeded to make safe escape exist but the driver of Xen R&B, Mohammad Rafi received some injuries and a PSO of SSP Poonch got injured in stone pelting. |
