DPS Jammu wins Inter School Cricket Tournament 12/10/2015 11:14:16 PM Early Times Report Jammu, Dec 10 : Musaif Ajaz of DPS Jammu achieved the rare distinction of scoring a century in the Inter School Cricket Tournament organized by the Col. R.N Chopra Cricket Academy in which top five teams of district Jammu participated. In the finals DPS Jammu won the toss and decided to bat first against GD Goenka. While batting, DPS Jammu set a huge target of 269 runs in the stipulated 25 overs. For DPS Jammu, Musaif scored a brilliant quick fire 105 runs in 43 balls and was supported by Ayush Slathia who scored valuable 54 runs. Rajpartap Singh and Satyabrat also contributed 37 and 36 runs to the total respectively. GD Goenka lost the match by 89 runs. In bowling department, Sanat, Anmol and Ayush bagged 2 wickets each. The Best Batsman and the Man of the Match award was given to Musiaf Ajaz. The Best Bowler award went to Sanat Anand and the Man of the Tournament award was lifted by Ayush Slathia of DPS Jammu. The match was officiated by coaches of the academy. Cricket team was felicitated by Ruchi Chabra, the Principal of the school who lauded the effort of the team and the coach Sudesh Manhas for this superb achievement. Meenu Gupta, Headmistress DPS Jammu also appreciated the achievement of the students. Management of the school MK Ajatshatru Singh , President RCT, Kunwrani Ritu Singh , Hon'ble Pro-Vice Chairperson and SS Sodhi Ji, congratulated the students of the winning team and their parents.
