JAMMU, Dec 11: The Jammu and Kashmir State Sports Council (JKSSC), in an order issued here today nominated Vice Chairmen, from and among the existing members, for 17 districts of the state thereby initiated the process of establishing district councils.
With Deputy Commissioners and District Development Commissioners already approved by the Sports Council as Chairmen of the respective districts, these two (Chairman and Vice Chairman) now shall further nominate individuals associated with district sports associations as office bearers subject to a maximum of six.
As per the order, the penal of six names in this regard shall be jointly submitted by Chairman and Vice Chairman of the respective District Sports Councils to the Vice President of the State Sports Council, Minister for Sports, for approval.
Those nominated as Vice Chairmen of the District Councils are Ranjit Kalra (Jammu), Rajinder Singh (Kathua), Rahil Gupta (Udhampur), Shiv Kumar Sharma (Reasi), Arjun Choudhary (Ramban), Krupali Singh (Reasi), Siddharth Sharma (Doda and Kishtwar), Arun Malhotra (Pooch), Rashid Ahmad Choudhary (Rajouri), ZA Thakur (Srinagar), Rifat Abdullah (Budgam), Wahid-ur-Rehman Parra (Pulwama), Mohammad Amin Khan (Anantnag), Parvaiz Rasool (Kulgam), Nazir Ahamd Bhat (Baramulla) and Prof BA Shah (Bandipore), Rouf Tramboo (Kupwara), Bari Andrabi (Shopian), Bilquis Mir (Ganderbal), Gyal P Wangyal (Leh) and Fida Hussain (Kargil). |
