LMD Udh books two industries for violating norms 12/21/2015 10:32:43 PM Early Times Report Udhampur, Dec 21: On the directions of Deputy Commissioner Udhampur, the field executives of Legal Metrology Department Udhampur under the supervision of Assistant Controller Jaideep Singh Sambyal conducted surprise inspection of different markets of district and booked a number of erring traders including two industries and two rice mills. At Manwal town, the sample checking of stockiest of the factory TBS Onsar chemicals Ltd. was conducted. It was found that pre- packaged washing powder of brand name " Kanchan" Detergents were lesser in weight by 20 gm than the declared net weight of 225 gm . The notice was issued to the management of the factory through the stockists. In another instance at khoon ,pre-packaged mustard oil bottles of Jammu based factory were found lesser in weight by about 20 gm than the declared net weight of 910 gm ( I litre). The management of the factory pleaded for composition of the challan case and assured that in future no such complaint will be found.
