Burglars 'loot' Jammu, police clueless

Jammu, Dec 21: Jammu police seems to have utterly failed to curb the growing thefts in Jammu district as the graph is growing day by day and burglars are giving sleepless nights to Jammuites and have put the police on its heels.
Though, police claimed of having activated news nakas besides lifting of suspects to douse the simmering anger brewing among the people and the victims of thefts, but all this is in vain.
Though Police have registered all the cases while no breakthrough yet in this connection yet it is clueless to solve the cases as police in many cases have got leads till date. Hence police have failed to crack down the thefts which were reportedly recently and the burglars have decamped with cash and valuables amounting to lakhs.
The gangs of thieves is all set to put police on its heels as they targeted three places including a showroom, a house and a tourist in separate incidents at different places just in one night. Police sources today said that burglars Last night burglars barged into three shops including two cloth shops and a medical agency falling under the jurisdiction of City police station and escaped with valuables and cash.
Police sources said that burglars barged into a cloth shop, Chuni Lal and Ajay Kumar at Purani Mandi and decamped with 4 DVR 16 cameras, 1 LCD, 1 laptop and Rs 10000 cash along with some cloths.
Meanwhile, burglars barged into another cloth shop, Badri Mal & Devi Chand and decamped with 18,000, cloths documents and Pan card etc.
Burglars also barged into a medical agency at Purani Mandi and escaped with gold items and ATM card. The complainant also alleged that the burglars also withdraw cash Rs 30000 bu suing the stolen ATM.
On Saturday burglars decamped with Rs 35000 cash, 14 tola gold and 1 kg silver from the house of Baaz Ali in Gharota area.
Though the Police have registered cases in all the above said burglaries but it is hitting about the bushes while the victims of thefts are just sitting with a hope on their fortune and destiny.
