Environmentalist's 45 day dharna fails to move authorities Old man Sitting on Dharna for 45 Days 12/21/2015 10:36:21 PM Early Times Report Doda, Dec 21: The district administration seems to be totally indifferent and insensitive towards the genuine demands of prominent environmentalist Shashi Kumar Kesri whose dharna entered the forty-fifth day Monday. Nobody from the administration is ready to listen to the 75 years old farmer who is a devotee of nature and trees. Shashi Kumar Kesri of Arnora Doda is demanding an independent probe by the CBI into the killing of his son who was working as SPO and was killed during an operation in Doda area few years back. He is also demanding compensation for the land and olive trees damaged due to the construction and widening of Doda Bharath road and also due to the landslides triggered by the incessant rains this year. Daring the chilling winter he is determined to continue his protest. He is all alone in this battle but he is least bothered about all this. His only aim is to get justice but unfortunately the government has turned a deaf ear towards him. It is pertinent to mention here that Shashi Kumar Kesri is the only person who has developed the olive garden and supplies pure Olive Oil to the market. He has also been awarded gold medal in the field of environment conservation While talking with Deputy Commissioner Doda Bhupinder Kumar in this regard, said that the Distt Administration has forwarded his demands to concerned authorities for appropriate action. Meanwhile Social Activist Naseer Khora has also approaced DC Doda in this connection to forward the case of Kesri to concerned authorities so that timely justice would be given to him for which he is on protest since last more than one month.   Share This News with Your Friends on Social Network     Comment on this Story
