R&B minister's timely intervention save students of many hardships
Directs divisional engineer to complete school road in record time

Sunderbani, Dec 22: The students and local people of Nala Makol panchayat of village Nohoti, tehsil Sunderbani today gathered in large number to express their heartfelt gratitude to the Roads and building minister Altaf Bukhari for his timely intervention in constructing a motorable road for school going children.
It is reported that nearly a fortnight ago , the students and people of the village in a deputation had met the local area sarpanch Tirath Ram Sharma and has expressed their grievance over the hardships faced by the students while going to their school at a distance of nearly one and a half kilometer on the foot.
The students had a grievance that inclusive of the school hours , the time taken by them to reach their school and coming back accounted for the whole day that had deprived them of their home studies and playing which was taxing upon them. "We met the sarpanch with a students' delegation and sought his help to reach the minister to provide us solace, which he reciprocated and got the work done," said Vinay Kumar a student of the school. It is pertinent to mention that the sarpanch Tirath Ram Sharma along with the delegation had met the roads and building minister who acted on the spot while issuing his directions to the divisional engineer Vikram Singh to take up the work on the priority basis. " I got the directions from the minister and immediately swung into action. I have got the work of the road started and last Thursday the work has been started ," said Vikram Singh , the divisional engineer, adding that though the earth work had already been done on the road that needed a construction of culvert also, for which all required holistics were taken care of. The road needing construction was a one and a half kilometer stretch from Barnada to Nohoti which was of the Rs 14 lakh cost. " The minister Altaf Bukhari directed the divisional engineer to complete the construction work of the road within a month's time and it has started last Thursday," said a jubilant Rakesh Sharma, another school going student. Prem Saroof, the contractor entrusted with the job of completing the work while talking to Early Times said that on Dec 17 , he had started the strated the construction of culvert and macadamizing the road which would be completed in record fifteen days . Today, the students, parents and the local people of the area had gathered in the village to offer their gratitude to the minister Altaf Bhukhari for looking into the students grievances and helping them in their academics.
