DCM Public School organizes Annual Sports Day 12/21/2015 11:28:12 PM Jammu, Dec 21 : DCM Public School Akhnoor celebrated its Annual Sports day with great pomp and show in the school premises today. MOS Daljit Singh Chib who is also the Vice-Chairman of J&K State KISAN Board was the chief Guest and I.D Soni, State Commissioner Bharat Scouts and Guides was the Guest of Honour. Present on the occasion were the Chairman of the school Satpaul Sharma, the Director Dheeraj Jamwal Sharma and the Principal Rama Jamwal. A large number of parents, students and other eminent citizens graced the occasion. The Principal Rama Jamwal in her welcome speech highlighted the sports achievements by the school. She stressed on participation in sports and games for stress free healthy lifestyle. She stressed that DCM School is nurturing sports activities right from Kindergarten level. The programme began with the lighting of the sports torch, releasing of vibrant and colorful balloons. The synchronized march past parade by all the four houses won every one's heart. The school playground was filled with festive spirit, frolicsome atmosphere, lot of cheers and fun. The Chief Guest Daljit Singh Chib applauded the achievements of the school. He inspired the students to lead a righteousand disciplined life. Students participated in various races, athletics and sports activities. Participants exhibited tremendous amount of zeal and spirit to fight to the finish amidst cheers from their parents and teachers. The parent's race was a delight to witness. Prizes, awards and medals were awarded to the winners by the Chief Guest and the Guest of Honour. The programme was highly appreciated by the gathering. The vote of thanks was presented by the Director of the school Dheeraj Jamwal Sharma.
