Kathua, Dec 21 : To honour and encourage the winning team of State Volleyball Championship - 2015 (Under 19 Category) which bagged the Championship of the year, the District Volley Ball Assocoation Kathua today organized felicitation programme here at Government High School Hiranagar. Dr. Bharat Bhushan,Chief Executive Officer, Lakhnapur Sarthal Development Authority was the Chief Guest on the occasion while R.P. Aggarwal, Director of M/s Jammu Pigments Ltd. Kathua was the Guest of Honour Madan lal Toofan, President of District Volleyball Association, Kathua informed that it is pride moment that District Kathua Volleyball Team has bagged the State Championship after defeating Baramulla Team in a well contested Final Match by 3-2. It is pertinent to mention here that State Championship was organized at Akhnoor recently in which various teams participated. Dr. Bharat Bhushan, Chief Executive Officer, Lakhnapur Sarthal Development Authority in his address congratulated the wining team of State Volleyball Championship - 2015 and appreciated the efforts of District Volleyball Association, Kathua led by Madan Lal Toofan, Retired Deputy Commissioner, Central Excise who along with other office bearers takes keen interest to promote Volleyball game in the area. R.P.Aggarwal, Director of Jammu Pigments gave cheque of Rs.5100 to the District Volleyball Association for the encouragement of the players. On the occasion, a friendly Volleyball Match was played by the winning team and the budding Volleyball players in the school lawns. Surat Singh Vice President, Mohinder Sharma General Secretary (cum Coach) Ram Lal Sharma, Joint Secretary of District Volleyball Association, Hari Dutt Sharma, Retired Head Master, Yog Raj Sharma, Retired Accounts Officer, Bishamber Dass, Shanti Swaroop, Des Raj Sharma, Ram Lal Sharma and Krishan Dev Sharma, Parveen Kumar of Tourism Department Kuldeep Sharma and Surinder Sharma were among those present on the occasion. |
